Time: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The SistahSpeak! Youth Project™ (SYP!™) is a leadership development, mentorship, and cultural enrichment program dedicated to the complete health and well-being of young Black women, femmes and girls (16-24) in the City of Pittsburgh. Through our programs and special events we create safe, youth-centered spaces that celebrate and affirm the beauty, power and resilience of #BlackGirlMagic.

SistahSpeak! Youth Project™ (SYP)  is a proud partner of The 100 Days of US is an initiative. The purpose of this initiative is to empower people to act locally during the first 100 days of the new presidential administration to advance positive, solution-oriented responses to issues of national importance. Under the issue areas of race and women, SYP brings you Engage, Educate, and Empower (E3) : Organizing for Young Black women and Femmes. The E3 series will take place from 11A-4P on April 8th, and cover the topics of Black HERStory & the Social Justice Movement, Ending Violence, Ending Criminalization, and Organizing 101 for Young Black Women and Femmes, respectively. Through grounding workshops and core teach-ins, our goal is to uplift issues affecting Black women, femmes, and girls and equip them with the skills to become life-long leaders in our communities and the broader intersectional movement.

Join us at the Irma Freeman Center on April 8th and become a part of this important and empowering project!
