The exhibition in the Streiff Gallery is Body Talk by Paige Tibbe. This work was made with consideration of how movement and gesture create a conversation in the margin of verbal communication. In these paintings, Paige explores the dialect of the body using color and form. Oversized hands argue, exist, and question themselves. Portraits of her friends mingle amid posed conversation between hands and expression. They explore a truth that cannot form into words, using color to suggest infinite feeling and form to encapsulate the experience. Exhibition up through November 15th.
